Wild Rumble
Arcade football, run as a roguelike.
Wild Rumble started from a single design question: what happens if you take arcade football and put it through a roguelike structure? The systems below are the answer.
Wild Rumble is available in the following platforms:
Arcade Playability
Every character shares the same base movement: running, passing, shooting all work identically across the roster. What separates them is four stats: Speed, Power, Defense, and Tenacity. On top of that, each character has two unique abilities. This keeps the on-field rules simple and consistent, while character choice is where the real strategic depth lives.

Destroying the goalkeeper
Goalkeepers add another layer: they have their own healthbar. Every save they make deals them damage, so a keeper can be worn down over the course of a match. Players can counter this by charging the ball: passing it between characters builds up a charge that makes shots harder to stop. It turns «how do I score» into an ongoing exchange rather than a single move.

Roguelike Campaign
The roguelike structure sits on top of the match, not inside it. Progression is simple by design: the player has a set number of hearts, and each conceded goal costs one. Lose them all, and the campaign restarts.
Between matches, players pick up passive and active upgrades, building a team that plays differently by the end of a run than it did at the start.
